ERIC HACHIKIAN SCORES TRIEBCA FILM FESTIVAL AT&T UNTOLD STORIES FILM

Following their successful MARCO POLO collaboration, Eric Hachikian and Peter Nashel teamed up once again to score NIGERIAN PRINCE, which was selected by the Tribeca Film Festival for it’s inaugural AT&T Untold Stories award in 2017, and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2018.

Combining traditional with modern, organic with electronic, and elements of Nigerian rhythms and instruments blended into a cinematic sonic palette, Eric and Peter crafted an original sonic landscape for this thriller. NIGERIAN PRINCE follows Eze, a stubborn first generation Nigerian-American teenager, and his cousin, Pius, a desperate Nigerian Prince scammer. After Eze’s mother sends him to Nigeria against his will, Eze retaliates by teaming up with Pius to scam unsuspecting foreigners in order to earn money for a return ticket back to America.

Check out the trailer below which features music from the score!  Big shout out to Brian Deming for his sonic manipulations, Frank Cogliano for his guitars, and Mike Dobson for his percussion.  In theaters October 19.

WHEN WE FIRST MET

ERIC HACHIKIAN SCORES ARI SANDEL'S LATEST FILM ON NETFLIX

Eric had so much fun scoring the Netflix original film WHEN WE FIRST MET, a hilarious romantic comedy directed by Ari Sandel. Eric enjoyed creating and recording a unique chamber ensemble to compliment the comedy and charm of the film.

WHEN WE FIRST MET is the story of Noah (Adam Devine), who thinks he has the perfect first night with Avery (Alexandra Daddario), the girl of his dreams, but gets relegated to the friend zone. He spends the next three years wondering what went wrong - until he gets the unexpected chance to travel back in time and change that night - and his fate - over and over again.
